Number One Chinese Restaurant in Lancaster

I have lived in Lancaster, PA for 20 years now (originally from NY) and I know great Chinese take out. No.1 Chinese is THE best in all of Lancaster. I have never had a bad meal from them. My Family and I have watched their Family grow up and become part of the business. You can feel the pride and care the Family takes when they prepare a meal for you and they never disappoint!!

Always decent food. Never had any issues. They only take cash.

Had the beef with string beans or should I saybeef fat with stringbeans !! First bite the sauce and string beans were good, figured I had a piece of fat! 5 pieces later all were nothing but muscle/fat ! Horrible

The vegetable rice was very blah and not even seasoning could fix the taste. We got orange chicken which looked like something my dog let out in my back yard today! We also got fried shrimp which was decent but not for reasonable price! Vegetable egg rolls??... Nope not available like what kind of Chinese restaurant is this!??! The best thing that came out of that place was the fortune cookies! When you go to pick your order you would think it would be in the bag... Nope its in a vodka box from the neighboring wine and spirits! When you walk in you could just tell that it was dirty/filthy and was need of serious cleanup/remodeling. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY GO NEXT DOOR TO SUBWAY!!

My sister and I ate in. I ordered our meals and our food was brought out pretty quickly. I had General Tso and she had Shrimp Lo Mein. Portions were large and tasty. Mine could have been spicier, but still good. Only thing I didn't care for was the strong smell of cooking oil. Just need better ventilation...and oh yeah, would be great if they accepted cards!

This Chinese restaurant truly is number one. I myself had the pork fried rice so did two others except they also had the general tso's chicken and an egg roll. The egg roll was a little small but excellent but besides that there food is the bomb. The fried rice is the best I've ever tasted better than even Yang's and especially best china wok it even had bean sprouts in there and the taste is so smooth as unique just the best. The chicken I was told was excellent better than any others. This place is on fire. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Good food & service. VERY CLEAN.

I got the sesame chicken lunch special. I only had about 1/2 for lunch and after a little while I had stomach issues and was in the bathroom quite frequently after with the runs. I love Chinese food but will not go back there or recomend anyone to eat there.

Standard strip mall Chinese place. Cash only. Better food then any of the places located in the city proper. Excellent Crab Rangoon and fried rice. Call ahead for big takeout orders. Great staff.

First time going and was very impressed with not only the quality of the food but also the people running the place. You know you are at a good restaurant when you see there have been families who have sent Christmas photos to the workers themselves. Highly recommend. Food, service, and cleanliness all top notch.

Decent Chinese food, cash only though

I've tried now for the second time....Even after poor health inspections in the past.... I'm not a doctor but I believe I'm suffering from a form of dysentery after eating this what they call food.The food is barely adequate. I had to get cash which was inconvenient but I was put off by the use of a cut liquor box as a carry out tray.Chinese food in Lancaster is like ordering shoe fly pie in Miami Florida. It's hard to find a good one!I don't recommend No. 1 chinese

Amazing food at amazing prices.

Been going here for years, best Chinese food around. Honestly the people who gave it bad reviews don't even warrant acknowledgement because those people are just used to the uncultured garbage that is Panda Express. I've been all over the country and the world and have found very few restaurants I enjoy like this one. But yes, be warned it is a family establishment, so if you're used to being waited on by people in aprons that's not how it will be. It's one of those "hole in the wall" restaurants that people who love food rave about because you get great food and great people for cheap prices and you sit around and enjoy.

Just okay. I had chicken with broccoli. A little tasteless. Didn't like the texture of the chicken.

Keep in mind, they're CASH ONLY! The Turkey Hill hill next door has an ATM. This place has always been pretty good. You get a decent amount of food at a reasonable price. Their general tso chicken is great and the shrimp lo mein is flavorful and generously shrimpy.The food isn't overly greasy and you won't get a gut bomb from them. The chicken wings are fried extra crispy as the whole wing and not pub style, so be prepared for that. The staff is friendly as well. Overall, highly recommended!

Love love love this place. Portions are huge taste delicious. The only inconvenience is they don't take ATM cards. But two thumbs up I have been eating at this location since they opened.

Very disappointed. I ordered $31 worth of food and it was spoiled. It had a very foul odor. I was so disgusted I literally threw all the food out. The other good reviews was what made me order from here But how could a place have so many good reviews and then sell a customer spoiled food. I never write reviews but I was so upset I needed to write one for this place.
